    Not that I wouldn't like $950 - if I understand things right, to save the economy (and jobs), we need to get people spending and keep them spending. If that is so - $950 to deserving folks should stimulate the economy for all of ........ ooooh - a week! If that. For those not responsible enough to reduce their household debt, that money will go in one sitting. Would it not be far more sensible to get people spending, maybe in smaller amounts, over a sustained period - something you would possibly gain by bringing forward the tax cuts?? Not that I want to agree with Turnbull! But I do support the infrastructure spending as long as it doesn't absolve the State's of their responsibilities in these vital areas.
